This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Expansion pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below the description for more information.
This is a featured upload! It showcases the best talent and creativity available on MTS and in the community.
I have created a new hair mesh in two versions: Short Bob and Shorter Bob. It is just a simple edit of an existing basegame mesh but it is really cute. I have shortened the hair in Milkshape and converted it for other genders and ages.

Features:
  • New Hair doesn't overwrite any existing hair
  • 2 versions:
    • Short Bob: It has chin length and is for female teens to female elders
    • Shorter Bob: It has mouth length and is for both genders and all ages.
  • Fully recolorable

Here are some pictures of Shorter Bob. The version for males is a little bit shorter then the one for females.

And some of Short Bob:

For more pictures watch the attachements.

If you don't want the hair for a special age group or a specific gender download only the files you want. For example: If you don't like the male version only download the female files. Because of this I have also splitted the files for childs and toddlers.

The hair looks better on Sims with round faces. Especially the hair for male Sims looks a little bit stupid on male Sims with small faces.

Polygon Counts:
Polys: 2111
Vertices: 1636

Don't forget to Thank the creator after downloading! Use the Thanks button located above the screenshots above.
Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.

For Package files:

1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

For Sims3Pack files:

1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.

Thank you very much! I was so disappointed with the lack of variety in hairstyles that came with the base game. I wanted some slightly shorter hairs and these are perfect!! You're my hero!

Nice hair. But, why not put them all in a zip file? It would be much easier to download.

I've tried it this morning in my game, and it's soo beautiful. Sometimes it's beautiful on pictures but disappointing in game. But here it's really as cute on my Sims .

Bravo and thank you !

Thanks, I've been looking around for a longer hair mesh for one of my sims based on an original character of mine but, while the shorter bob is long enough for him during the toddler/child stages, it isn't quite long enough for when he's older. Excellent conversion, though, and I'm really grateful to you for sharing it here. I was just wondering that if I would try to make a direct conversion of the in-game bob to be compatible for males Teen-Elder, would there be any serious clipping issues? Just curious if it would be possible for me to make such a thing for personal use. Again, thanks for this. <3

Yay, more hair choices.

Thank you so much! Especially for making it available for males, too. Males get gipped a lot with these things. So it's extra appreciated!!

I love it, Oepu! You know, there's so many hair conversions out there and even completely new meshes but so far there's nothing that's as pretty as what you did, even if it's making an existing mesh shorter!

Thank you for making this and sharing!

PS Your models are very nice!

The skin is basically by Papercat . But I have edited it and removed the freckles and edited the nose. It's not my creation. Just a mix of others work. I could send it to you, but only for personal use.

oepusims.tumblr.com. I don't take request. I have 2 children and few freetime. Use my creations as you wish. You don't have to ask.
